When opening gedit from dolphin you can fix this annoying problem by modifying
the line that lauches the program. Change:
gedit %U
into:
gedit %U < /dev/null

This happens without having to run as root. I expect it affects
thousands of people, not the handful that have logged in here and
clicked the link.
