Public bug reported: Fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10 gnome-bluetooth installed: 3.2.0-0ubuntu2 Dongle Belkin Components B8T017 Bluetooth+EDR 2.1 with Plantronics 2XX
What I expect: 1) Discover the bluetooth device. 2) Pair it (exchange passcodes). 3) Connect the headset and use it. Instead: 1) Discover the bluetooth device. OK 2) Pair it. OK 3) Connection fails and the headset is not usable tail -f /var/log/syslog returns: Dec 2 20:28:06 xx bluetoothd[yyy]: Adapter /org/bluez/11729/hci0 has been enabled Dec 2 20:28:31 xx bluetoothd[yyy]: Permission denied (13) Dec 2 20:28:31 xx bluetoothd[yyy]: Unable to get service record: Permission denied (13) Dec 2 20:28:33 xx bluetoothd[yyy]: Permission denied (13) ... ** Affects: gnome-bluetooth (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bluetooth -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-bluetooth in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905403 Title: bluetoothd Permission denied (13) when connecting headset To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-bluetooth/+bug/905403/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
