The bug no longer exist in 7.04 beta so this bug report is no longer

Yes, but this "magical cdrom" shows up when I boot up from the Ubuntu
CD or a fresh system right after installation so it can't be my doing.

Kernel only shows one CD-ROM device, so any "magical drives" are a
creation of userspace.
