Not sure why I got this. I don't even run that version of linux
anymore.

This is odd... May I ask what happened all of the sudden after two-
and-a-half years?

It happens repeatedly when I'm running it in the background while I'm
vpnc-d to work (but the mp3s are on a box on the local network - not on
the vpnc network). I've got a apport .crash file it desired, but the
subject ended up being the same as this one.

[apport] rhythmbox crashed with SIGSE
This happens for me when behind a firewall, with a .pac autoconf file
specified in gnome settings - which rhythmbox does not understand (i got
an errormessage about it once). can this be a proxy related issue
(judging from Phil's experience)?

[apport] rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in gnome_vf
The last time this occured for me was September 24 2007. I regularily
upgrage the gutsy distribution.
Today (October 5 2007) I noticed that rhythmbox is no longer seg
faulting while I am at work.

I probably have the same problem except I get these messages:
(rhythmbox:2486): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: trying to read from a non-existing
handle
sh: jackd: not found
Segmentation fault
ALSO, It ONLY happens when I am at work. On the train (90min trip)
rhythmbox has never died (so far).
I have
Steps for reproducing:
# add entries for xml.amazon.com
sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --src 207.171.166.90 -m limit --limit 5/second -j
DROP
sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --src 72.21.211.37 -m limit --limit 5/second -j
DROP
sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --src 72.21.207.8 -m limit --limit 5/secon
Nope. Sorry. It just happened (seemingly) randomly when i was listening
to a song which usually plays fine. The crash file's attached, in case
it helps.

Sebastien, I can confirm this in gutsy too. (although that probably
doesn't help, seeing as I expect you tested it in gutsy yourself)
