I couldn't get it to crash again, but I did notice that there were many
CRC errors and there was information in the Valgrind logs, so I've

In edgy, I would enter my keyring password once, and that would survive
multiple suspend/resume cycles until I next rebooted the machine. In
feisty, the keyring is locked on suspend, even though Lock on idle is
not ticked for that keyring.
This was definitely an avahi issue, but it was fixed in some recent avahi
update, marking closed, because the bug has been fixed. Both by upgrading and
with new installation.

Back when gnome-screensaver was first added, it had a screensaver
similar to the current popsquares. Only, the color was less garish, it
was slower, and quite soothing. What happened to it, and can we get it
back?

Sorry, perhaps I didn't explain it clearly enough. This only happens in
~/Desktop, if you copy the same test script to ~/Desktop/test and run
it, you'll get the expected output - '/home/user/Desktop/test'.
I don't know why it only happens on the desktop (ie in the Desktop
folder), but it does.
