When it locks up, do you have to do a hard power off or
you likely didn't understand what the corresponding libraries are and

Hi Pedro, thanks for the quick response and apologies for not providing
all the info the first place. I've attached a trace with glib,
evolution, and libcamel dbsyms (which I could tell from my hunch were
needed to show the symbols)

I have tried the work-around mentioned there (to remove klipper from the
panel), and I cannot reproduce this anymore. If it is not the same bug,
then it is strongly related. Of course, removing klipper is not an

ow, I'm sorry, I'm not using apport for the moment.
this bug occured after updating from ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10
someone suggested to try this command:
gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/evolution/calendar
evolution doesn't crash anymore, but my web calendars are also removed...

Change what? The configuration to turn off audible bell? If yes there is none
now with the current version. But according to the help file ther should be in
the System Preferences Sound System Bell tab like this:

I think you may be confusing metacity with nautilus. Metacity can't
take a filename; it operates on the display as a whole.
