Under update manager, I see brasero and gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad grayed
out, same as Tobias. Im not sure what this means and what I should do about it.
I find that any data DVD's I burn with brasero are unreadable, and have to be

For some sense that seems to be true, I often find out that reporting
bugs upstream is better.
Yet, this also usually doesn't help, bugs just remain in bugzilla, and
nobody fixes them.
Thus the only way to fix the bugs is just grok the code, and fix them up myself.

similarly, i can make computer01 and computer02 entries in the
/etc/hosts file which allows nautilus to behave as one would hope, but
again this isn't a solution because i have other boxes on the network
that use dynamic ip addresses.
