Moving to gtk-sharp; this looks to be a problem in the
FileChooserDialog. It's a pretty obnoxious bug where the save dialog
can freeze!

On the machine that works correctly I have 2 parallel installs of lucid,
exactly the same except one's on nouveau, the other nvidia-current.
Both were a couple of days behind updates, inc. the 18 kernel ect.
On the one that's currently working fine all the available

Indeed! A package this broken should not even be in the system! I just
lost about five hours of setup time to this piece of ^%$ because I
foolishly assumed there had been SOME testing to packages in th Ubuntu

so. I also had this happen with another action, where it appears the
action completed before it crashed.

Confirmed that using the appearance manager as root does not crash.
Will not allow us to change settings for the primary user account though
and therefore most settings are not changeable for the average user.
