just reinstall 25.04. Now nautilus doesn't launch. running nautilus from
command line shows this error:

Anything in ~/.local/share/nautilus or ~/.local/share/gnome-shell be
causing the issue? I had these folders backed up and restored after OS
reinstall. Removing .local/share folder resolved the issue. In case you
need any more info to look into the root cause, let me know else this
ticket can be clo
note, redhat just released a backport for gsd-smartcard for older
versions of gnome. may want to take a look at their patch and see if
it's something we can use here.

Seems to be much better on Wayland, the screen still doesn't appear
automatically after logging in (either spamming ENTER or clicking the
mouse seems to wake up the computer to output a usbc signal, or
alternatively removing and replugging usbc cable also worked) after
which fan starts spinning and
A tangential question: is there a way to get GRUB to also show up on
these monitors because atm I blindly press ENTER to try and speed up the
selection of the OS.

The patch mentioned in comment #4 doesn't seem to exist anymore. It got
upstreamed in systemd 242 so we're already widely releasing it.

Probably not. Early boot graphics is controlled by the BIOS. So if the
BIOS has chosen not to light up a monitor by then, we can't use it till
the OS and full graphics driver stack loads later. Usually the BIOS will
only display on one monitor, whichever it deems to be primary.
