Public bug reported: Sometimes when I boot up then all I get is a black screen with a cursor. Ctrl+Alt+F2/3/4 only rarely bring me to the terminal. So far, once I get to the terminal, the only thing that consistently managed to let me boot up properly was uninstalling and reinstalling gdm3. It's beyond frustrating.
