Okay, we all know applets are a naughty word with GNOME 3. What do we
do with them - delete them from git master? Would this be a
precondition on an project getting the badge of GNOME 3 ?

Empathy 2.91.x/3.0 will depend on telepathy-glib 0.13.x.
We just released telepathy-glib 0.13.0 [1] which starts the new cycle.
Plans for this cycle include the very popular high level API on
Telepathy channels which should allow us to drop a lot of code from
Empathy and make Telepathy much

checked to see if we had something there already but didn't see a cohesive
plan on this.
I don't mind volunteering to start this. I feel out of the loop these days
so it might be worthy short term project for me.
