Can you try to turn off methodjit and try again?
Type about:config in url bar.
Search for javascript.options.methodjit.content
Double click to turn it off.

I need to know whether the hang is caused by plugins.
I tried SunBlade 2500 / XVR-500 with Solaris 10, I don't have the problem with

Also, there was no plugins directory in the installation. I had to copy it
from a previous installation and re-link all the plugins.
I'm using an XVR-500 video card in my Blade.
