I found a way how to "fix" it. It will help to fix it really.
After logout I added the language again usung language selector settings. Now
it works.
Probably an upgrade issue, when settings are stored somewhere else.

Just removed rhythmbox, removed dobey's ppa and installed rhythmbox from
standard 12.04 repositories. Confirmed this is fixed as of today's
updates.

Now that gnome-power-manager is no longer part of the
notification/indicator subsystem, it's status icon set should be moved
into the 'gnome' icon theme.
The absence of appropriate icons is forcing devs to economize with poor
substitutions. For example, the power plug-in of
