OK I think the problem is much worse than I originally thought. Even
moving around the mouse causes massive CPU usage.
For example, launch Nautilus, and move the mouse around inside it for
15-20 seconds or so. CPU usage jumps to 25% each for Xorg and nautilus,
and 15% for compiz. Similar results o

I know it's dumb, but I see this issue occurring from time to time,
mostly because PDF readers remember print settings and people don't
notice when printing one-page documents that they have "Print only even
pages" option set.
How to reproduce:

able to get this to work. I now see the following when I run the nmcli

compiled it myself on Trusty, from mainstream source.

gcr isn't responsible.
The GPG agent is actually gnome-keyring-daemon from the gnome-keyring
package. You can change the defaults in dconf just like the other
graphical GNOME applications.

Running Banshee and listening to a CD, hit Ctrl-E to bring up the
equalizer, changed it from Rock to Classical, and then clicked the
checkbox to Enable it ... and Banshee locked, then crashed. Music
stopped the instant I clicked "enable".

When I see a gcr password prompter asking for my password, then for me
it looks like gcr is the thing responsible.

this is all undocumented and I have start hunting again for how to fix
the idiotic cache permanently setting.

I have tried fix from @kammon101 with no luck, as I cannot find the
"scaleaddon" plugin (just "scale" plugin appears on my list).
I think we should continue debugging this issue, and try to find a more
stable workaround (the "unity --replace" command is working though, it's
ugly to restart the ses
