I've changed the status of this old bug to Fix Released because I can't
reproduce it in the current version of Firefox (34.0). It was probably
unknowingly fixed at some point during the two years since it was

I can confirm this problem affects me as well on several computers
running 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04 that have been clean installed (not upgraded
from previous versions). I usually work with several Nautilus windows
that each have several tabs open in them, spread on multiple workspaces.

This freeze happens periodically while I'm watching flash videos in

Brand new installation of 14.04, this error showed up on the first
reboot, nothing else installed or loaded. Bug report is apparently a
duplicate of this one. Lots of messages to look through on this one, but
figured I'd add mine as well. Kinda frustrating to do a fresh install to
get rid of all th

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #1270410, so is being marked as such.
Sometimes this problem happens reversely for someones.
It means, they can delete a Persian character by pressing only one backspace
but when they want to delete an English one, they have to press backspace two
times.

Walter Garcia-Fontes, I've not been able to reproduce this in either
Trusty with gnome-session-flasback (Compiz) or Vivid with Unity. It may
be that it's fixed in Vivid, or it could be I'm not doing something that
