Actually no it did not.
I tried the suggested bandaid a few weeks ago, last night I had to get a
few documents from my ubuntu installation, so I had to boot into it to

1 - Open any non-maximized window, for example Files app.
2 - Minimize it.
3 - Raise from the launcher.
Under the title bar, a gray line appears for a while, like a scratch.
Also it may occur when opening a new window. It can be annoying because
of it happens all the time.

I don't expect an image viewer to require the single sign-on package. I
should be able to install Shotwell without it, or remove the package
without losing Shotwell. The Debian version does not require it. Please
could you demote the dependency to a recommendation/suggestion?
