Same issue on Ubuntu 15.04 with a wifi network having a WPA & WPA2 personal
security.
I have tried many things: remove the connection e add again, remove the
password keyring and add again, make connection not for all users and more, but
no one is the solution.

Yes, I was meaning that the menu items are visible while they should
not. But it seems that the case where "Select All" is visible on empty
input fields is a GTK+ issue but I'm waiting until this gets confirmed
by upstream ( https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=748863 ) as

kernel 3.19.0-17:
no boot that kernel on dell e6500; black screen at an early stage (way before
login).
However, boots as follows: -> recovery mode -> resume normal boot
(without taking any action prior to resuming!).
No boot problems with 3.19.0-16 nor with 4.0.0-1 (both boot normally).

I find that the keyboard is cutting out at random and cannot get it to work
until I restart the computer. I am using a Dell Inspiron Studio, with a built
