I had a poke around in gdb, for some reason type info doesn't seem to be
shared between plugins, so the second plugin to load will try and
reregister the types.
This was caused by linking with -Wl, -BSymbolic-functions, I think its
ok to just strip this linker flag, afaik no other distro's even us
my cursor is invisible on ubuntu 15.04 using Thinkpad carbon x1 3rd gen.
I tried 'killall light-locker' but it didn't help.

I had similar problems on Utopic (14.10), but not anymore on Vivid
(15.04). The same problem occurred to me with all other system-wide
shortcuts as well, e.g. volume up/down, keyboard layout switch etc. I
