Ted has run into problems trying to integrate XMir with Unity8. When he
starts an app, XMir aborts in compCopyWindow. (Log attached)
This seems to be because compCopyWindow has been called before
compConfigNotify (which in turn call compReallocPixmap, and set cw->oldx

tests) I upgraded to Bluez5 and Gnome 3.16 while still using kernel 3.19 and
I'd have that same result.
I'd decided to opt out of Bluez5 and G3.16 since it seemed to be just a WIP so

The PDF file is OK. I can print it without any problem on my HP inkjet
printer using HPLIP. You are also able to print it with HPLIP (+
proprietary plugin downloaded by hp-plugin). The problem is most

It may be that the process is swapped out, so the delivery of the
SIGKILL takes a while for it to be swapped back in and to hence get the
signal.
To test this hypothesis:
a) one could disable swap and see if the process can be delivered the
SIGKILL and how quickly it responds to that. However,
