Use the script in #16, it's an ugly solution, but it works.

Title:
PolicyKit high memory usage
Status in policykit-1
The issue is specific to nautilus (as far as I've seen). It usually
returns after a session restart (killing and relaunching nautilus fixes
the issue). I've attached a before and after image to illustrate the
issue, with gedit providing a control to show the 1.75 DPI scaling
setting.

Oh, ok, so it does follow the settings, it just doesn't pick up the changes
dynamically... that could be resolved with the update
from bug #1480217 that got uploaded to xenial and trusty

I can confirm this. Ubuntu 15.10. I have specified columns/rows to be
120x50 and every new terminal pops up as 119x49. This is only true for
the following gtk+ themes:
- Adwaita
- HighContrast
- Yoyo

So, we have two issues in this bug.
1) The majority of the xmir corruption was caused by calling
mir_buffer_stream_get_graphics_region() when xmir wanted to know the
buffer size. On android, this would call down into gralloc, and
invalidate/flush the cache when called. Its reasonable to just call
ufw is not enabled on the first PC.
And even after disabling it on the 2nd PC, the same thing happened i.e.
nothing= no port opened on router
