the issue was that in some cases, typing the Greek key for accent (tonos, the
key is ";"), and then after releasing it, typing "α", resulted in two separate
characters, i.e.

instead of the correct

At first I thought this was because of ibus, because I was seeing the

app inside it.

Ah, I think I just 'got' what you were suggesting. If I move the
/usr/local/lib/libimobiledevice* away, and then look at the ldd output
from upowerd, I see that it indeed shows it linked to libusbmuxd.so.4,
rather than .2.
[~]$ ldd -r /usr/lib/upower/upowerd | grep usbmuxd
libusbmuxd.so.4
Maybe it is a solution.
I'm installed Ubuntu 16.04 and after that I updated system packages using
apt-get, also I installed nvidia-361 right after packages updated. Result is
black screen after restart. I deleted nvidia driver, and also I found two

After upgrading to 16.04LTS, I no longer get sound from either chromium
or firefox, tested on both youtube and facebook videos. Both "play" and
"paplay" produce sound from the command line.
If I log in as a guest user, firefox can play audio - I didn't test
chromium.

the language-pack update is not scheduled before a while and doing one
only for that seems not desirable since it's too much testing, I'm going
to upload a version of evolution without the langpack support as a
workaround until we get it updated

Importance:
I don't understand why the package has not been updated yet. I've been
recommending that the main repository be updated to the version that's
in the Remmina Next repository since two versions ago.
If you want it work right, run this as one long command and reboot:
sudo apt-add-repository

Albert got me the data I wanted from those tools, and the results are still
inconclusive. I think I need access to the hardware to make real progress on
this. So there's no need to bother with the trying those tools.
If you fancy a go, just to play:

The patch in comment 42 is not acceptable, for two big reasons.
First: you need to hold a ref on the GFile object when you put it into
