xkb file over and load it (xkbcomp $HOME/.xkb/xkb-map $DISPLAY). That's

sort of widevine files (although I guess they could be stubs too, as
they were pre-installed with the package somehow), does it delete them,

I know you can get the Widevine files for x86_64, but I don't think you
can get it for armv7 (unless you extract it from the ChromeOS recovery
image).
My PPA version shouldn't have the widevine files installed. If it does
by some chance, then it'll only be stub files that will do nothing.

version as many bug fixes has been made in Thunderbird since version 38.

after recent updated including kernel, when i rebooted my system the old
ubuntu software center was back and new software center was gone. i
manage to get new software center back but now i got two of these. old

@gernophil, I added Trusty repos as per Richard's instructions above.
You can do this in system settings>software sources deb
http://cz.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu trusty main paste this in apt,
reload and install lsb via terminal, remove the repository after that.

I believe that the Widevine plugin from Chrome won't work on Chromium on
architecture that Chrome doesn't support as the AUR PKGB
Is there anything we can do to help upstream with this? Upstream does
not seem to have a plan to fix this (the linked gnome bug was last

Using 4.4.0-24-generic from 16.04, I still have the issue.
$ DRI_PRIME=1 glxgears
gives black screen
and
$ DRI_PRIME=1 glxinfo|grep "OpenGL renderer"
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on AMD OLAND (DRM 2.43.0, LLVM 3.8.0)
I have a Radeon R7 M265.
