I have downgraded both the network-manager and resolvconf package but I still
experience complete DNS resolution failure randomly, where restarting the
network manager has no effect and I cannot connect to the internet. The only
way to get DNS working again is to completely reboot the computer,
I'll revert the merge to the yakkety one 1.5-4 and upload to zesty
shortly and keep a note of the same in the changelog not to upgrade the
package until transition is complete.

I have this problem using the clickpad for an HP Omen 15-at201tx running
Ubuntu 16.10. Changing the driver from synaptics to libinput did fix the
problem, but I like coasting (kinetic scrolling) so I would like to stay

I think the problem is not related to NetworkManager but dhclient itself.
Trying to use DHCPv6 in a Debian 8 machine (no GUI/NM) (using "iface eth0 inet6
dhcp" in /etc/network/interfaces) the "dhclient -6" instance is not started
either). Only after I run dhclient manually once (as observed by

nm-applet display each configured VPN connection as greyed out so it is
impossible to launch any of the openVPN connection from the network
indicator.
It is still possible to enable the VPN connection using :
$ nmcli conn up {VPN}

Currently using the GUI software updater I get a package dependencies
cannot be resolved error and the updater crashes completely with the
following message:
update-manager crashed with libreoffice-common in _show_transaction():
Depends: libreoffice-style but is a virtual package.
On commandline
JDownloader was just updated to use the content type negotiation
properly, so it shouldn't be affected anymore.
