My work around was deleting the etc/resolv.conf symbolic link and

Hey folks,
had the same issue. fonts-roboto-hinted was already installed. I tried
adding fonts-roboto (didn't solve it) and then fonts-roboto-fontface and
fonts-roboto-unhinted. That did the trick. My guess is it's fonts-
roboto-fontface, but I did not check that. Problem solved.

Tested on a lubuntu 17:04 fresh install.
It almost works, the audio plays nicely, but only when the pulseaudio volume
control is open, as soon as it's closed it looks like the default audio device
is switched to another device.

in a very bad inconsistent state; you should reinstall it before attempt
Just upgraded to 17.04 from 16.10 and it's just plain broken (i.e. h/w
restart and/or 'service network-manager-restart' doesn't fix it).
Tried GRUB boot from 14.04 (which I still have on a spare partition) and
all working ok - so we can't blame hardware or ISP problems...
