I have done several fixes in cups-browsed upstream to avoid high CPU
load, infinite loops and crashes.
The fixes are in the 1.21.6 release:

This release should be available in Disco.

my crash file exists indeed on the day that wayland crashed but
ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_usr_bin_Xwayland.1000.crash gives me the apport
GUI report window with
an xwayland crashed with SIGABRT in Osabort
