And rebooted my PC and plugged in apple earset.
But earset's mic doesn't work too.

i thing that this bug is somehow triggered the same way as the bug with
non running commands. If any bug of this family happends I will post the

checked the alsa-info.txt in #14, found the lifebook-extmic doesn't take
effect, "model=liefbook-extmic" was added to kernel-4.19 but we are
using kerel-4.15. So please test this dkms, if headset-mic still doesn't
work, please generate an alsa-info.txt too.

I'm seeing this bug in Linux Mint 19.1 (Ubuntu 18.04 base). The audio

Sometimes this works for hours, and sometimes it works for minutes,

installed. After installing the lastest Nvidia driver-430, the dektop GUI is
lost when you reboot (18.10 gave the same issue). I tried many proposed
solutions, including the one above. Nothing worked.

This is still an issue in Disco, with a difference: there is no
"default" button anymore in the Sound settings, only
Bark|Drip|Glass|Sonar, none of which is the original Ubuntu bell from
the Yaru theme.
Setting it to "Bark" is a good way to remember this has to be fixed :)
