Hi Daniel, I tried your instructions and there is no difference between
~/.config/monitors.xml and monitors-before.xml. Both files specify the
desired configuration, but upon logging in the monitors are in the wrong
configuration.

On a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 install I ran into this same issue. Tap to click
works fine on the desktop, but it does not work on the login screen. The
inconsistent behaviour can be very confusing.
Won't it be best to make the behaviour on the login screen and on the
desktop match?

Also HW acceleration does not work on Totem (choppy playback), not a

Using the NVIDIA driver I was affected by bug 1870736 and bug 1873403.
I moved to the Nouveau drivers and the issues above were gone.
However, I notice a strange issue with display settings persistence.
I have 2 screens (HDMI3-3 FHD, DP-1 4K primary), which I'd like to have

It is weird that you could record sound with a pure headphone, I have no
idea how that happened.
And could you please test:
run amixer sset 'Input Source' "Headset Mic" or "Rear Mic" or "Line" first,
then plug in the headphone and choose headphone, does the sound output from
headphone?

I also experience this issue. Was not there in 19.10 for me either. It's

Currently I have to use a workaround, running ARandR or "nvidia x server

do it in Ubuntu 20.04 surprised me.
