I got the same problem with the Schiit Audio Fulla 3 and the kernel
5.10.8 on Fedora.
But I got no problem with the Kernel 5.4.59 on Raspbian.
Kurt Bonatz reported a problem with the 5.4.0. Maybe there is a
difference in audio stack between Ubuntu and Raspbian.

just fired up Linux Mint 20.1 on a USB flash drive and whatever version

So after a full day of usage yesterday I did not see the freeze/crash at
all, so it does indeed appear to be caused by one of the extensions
bundled with Ubuntu. Should I try just enabling them one-by-one using

now works with kernel 5.11.0, but it has problem with Nvidia GPU and the
brightness control is not working. I can have Nvidia GPU working and
manually do some fixes to enable brightness control with 5.8.0, though

Gnome or Gnome Disks, so I can't tell you whether this is expected
behavior for an audio CD or the program should offer more info about the

Oh, for some reason I thought this was bug 1873052. It should probably
be marked as a duplicate of that one. That one indeed won't occur in
PopOS because it's related to X11 fractional scaling, which is an

the issue in the meanwhile, but I think it disappeared when I switched
from Ubuntu 20.10 to Pop OS 20.10.I don't know if that's useful at all,
but looks like the issue is vanilla Ubuntu only.
