I woke my box this morning & resumed it (from suspend; LXQt session) &
everything was normal (many apps including chromium-browser visible on
displays). I can't say when I last logged in (many days no doubt!), but
I shutdown session to use box for QA-test
I think you mean the new libx11 is useful in solving other bugs. This
bug should be about the log messages only, so it's low importance.
Although it's prevalent enough that people who read logs all day (me)
will really appreciate the fix.

This issue happened on a laptop of mine with a hybrid GPU setup. It
reliably went away after I switched my GPU settings from 'Intel (Power
saving mode)' to 'NVIDIA On-Demand'. I am not sure why that is the case.
