I did try "sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-core-dbg" with the above
step, but I got E: Unable to locate package xserver-xorg-core-dbg
I will try more from that page (that PPA?) tomorrow. That page seems a bit

I also tested in a focal VM with the firefox snap from the candidate
channel (version 103.0-1), and I can confirm that in conjunction with
the xdg-desktop-portal backport in that PPA the "Show in Folder"
functionality works as expected.

I have a new laptop and Nautilus hangs on the first search I try it on after

Confirmed I saw the error reported here when uninstalling a .deb.
Confirmed that snap installation and snap removal works as expected

This may sound silly, but try a different USB cable between your printer
and the system. That will help rule out a USB cable problem. (Even
though Windows and macOS don't have this problem, there's still a chance
that the USB cable is at fault.)
