I see a lot of strong opinions being given, but aside from the "don't
use it in KVM" guidance which appears to be based on GCE's engineering
expertise, very little evidence that irqbalance is actually a problem.
I think it's true that in the default config, irqbalance can interfere

trouble using Krita, gimp, and xournalpp with my stylus pen on several

Okay, so this does not seem to be an xorg bug. I believe it is a Gnome
Shell bug. If I use lxqt it works fine. It should probably be moved
there. Perhaps the above fix to mutter did not completely fix it all,
but at least xorg seems to be off the hook. :-)

it to an external Dell Dell P2720D monitor via HDMI.
