Public bug reported:
i've been investigating bugs of the gstreamer backend of qt
(QTBUG-122424, QTBUG-122423). it seems that we run into a pulseaudio bug
that has been fixed in pulseaudio-17.
what would it take to backport the corresponding fix?
Having the same issue as in #7 (id: ‘polkitd’: no such user, chown:
invalid group: ‘root:polkitd’). Managed to apply workaround to move with
the test upgrade from this stuck place by creating polkitd system group
using `groupadd -r polkitd`.

The Firefox issue can be found at:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1882449
The issue has been closed and supposedly fixed. The target milestone has
been set to 125, which I assume means that it should be included in the
Firefox 125 release planned for 16 April 2024. In the meantime,
For the record, I still run into the issue.

I've dug a little deeper into the possible reason why the JRE cannot be found:
All installed JRE's are installed under a subdirectory of the /usr directory.
When I try to select the JRE to use, I notice that this Snap does not have any
permission to access the /usr directory.
Am I missing some
Note: I have installed the stable version, rather than the strictly
"latest" version because I don't trust release candidates or Beta's with
my files.
