We have an update of the firefox profile coming that supports the
/opt/firefox/firefox location used as the default install for the
firefox downloaded directly from mozilla.org
If you are running firefox out of your home directory, that will not be
directly supported and you will need to chose to
five years to fix an smb login error. And here I thought my company dev cycle
is slow.
I am also affected by this bug on Linux Mint 20 with Thunar as file manager.
Just came here to get a bit shocked and to let people know the bug is still out
there.

I have tested the updated snapd in a Noble VM.
I have installed:
firefox latest/stable:
installed: 124.0.1-1 (4033) 281MB -
chromium latest/stable:
installed: 123.0.6312.86(2805) 168MB -
openjdk-21-doc/noble,noble,now 21.0.3~7ea-1 all [installed]

This has been done in Debian Unstable and I have requested a Feature
Freeze Exception to land these changes in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. See

Thanks for your reply after my comment I found out the issue that there is
other binary that contributes and I use hold method to downgrade and now the
issue is gone:D. the issue is indeed with the package I just hope they remove
the buggy version as soon as possible because it

I am seeing similar interactivity issues on fully updated 22.04 on a Dell
Precision laptop with Nvidia + X11 that started a day or so ago. Most

I can confirm the issue (I am on ubuntu 22.04 nvidia + x11). gnome-
terminal, emacs and similar applications was lagging. Starting an
application that updated the screen continuously (such as glxgears)
seems to have alleviated the problem.
