They key here seems to be locale. When started with default English locale, by setting LANG=C in environment, the bug does not occur and CTRL+D works for bookmarking. However, with Norwegian locale (LANG=nb_NO.UTF-8), it does not work and CTRL+R is marked in menu as shortcut for bookmarking. In
