A little suggestion: can you make a pop-up dialogue like ubuntu to
choose headphone/headset/mic? It will makes a lot easier to use
headphone/headset for KDE and Xfce4 users.
Thanks a lot. Now I can use
@Cruz Fernandez
In my laptop the 'headset' mode makes the headset totally unavailable, both the
speaker and mic. The 'headphone' mode is okay with headset speaker and laptop
internal mic.
And I do think that there should be the same POPUP-DIALOG for user to
choose in KDE and Xfce4 environment.
@Hui Wang
My problem is different from the comment you provided, LOL.
1. I'm using Kubuntu. Kubuntu DOESN'T HAVE the POPUP-DIALOG because KDE
environment uses PulseAudio to manage audio system. When a user plug in a
headset there are no options to choose from, the program sets it automatically.
Update:
I find out that in PulseAudio Panel the settings of input device should be
choose as 'Internal Microphone' rather than 'Headset Microphone' or
'Microphone', and the speakers of my headset can work properly.
My laptop's 1 jack hole connection and headset can work properly on
Windows,
