I don't get this problem if I disable the Nvidia drivers and revert to
Nouveau, but that isn't really a fix.

Black Backgro
I'm seeing this problem with all GTK applications, not just Firefox.
They work fine after first booting up, but after logging out and then
back in they all show black text on black backgrounds and don't revert
to normal without rebooting.

I've found I get a very similar error that causes Nautilus to crash if I
try to view a folder containing SVG images I created in Inkscape, and I
guess these are what gnome-shell is trying to create a thumbnail for.
The same error also occurs viewing the images with eog. These images
have a linked j
