My computer is not honoring the setting to "never" turn the monitor off,
in power settings.
DPMS is still killing the monitor after 10 minutes. It appears bugged. I

It's not triaged. The ability to click on the volume button and then
scroll the mouse slider, as long as you are moused-over a tiny area is
not an effective solution. This bug should be considered confirmed.

I want the mouse scroll to scroll the volume up and down, not the time
forward and back. This is a non-standard behavior that I consider to be
a BUG within Totem, and I preferentially use VNC because of this BUG.
Fix it so mouse scroll controls volume instead of time please.

Same problem here on Ubuntu 18.04. However adding dns=default to the
[main] section of /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf makes it
worse. 1. The question mark shows even if connected 2. DNS does not work

Having the same issue here; when screens are set in xinerama mode the
launcher and dash on the second screen are no longer transparent.

After some apt-get upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04-LTS I now get this exact
same problem with a Brother MFC-8660DN.
I don't know which upgrade caused the problem or when it started, but
with the original Ubuntu 12.04-LTS I was able to make multiple runs.
It never had this problem before. I have to quit
i can't (obviously) comment for other people, but I may have discovered the
cause of my problems.
It turns out that many of my problems recently were probably caused by a ram
stick gone bad. So, I checked my ram only a couple of months ago (to rule it
out as the cause for another problem).
And I accidentally submitted the comment without finishing it.
Anyway, so with Ubuntu playing up generally, I checked my ram again,
found that the 2GB stick (two sticks, one 2GB and one 512MB) was bad. I
removed it, and the other problems stopped. I just thought today that
