Hi Agustin, after a long period of fails, I finally at least can mount
the drive via commandline script like:
> #!/bin/bash
> sudo cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sdx# sdx#_crypt
Attention: the number "#" is not always the same. Normally it is for
e.g. "/dev/sdb1" something like "sdb5_crypt"
Good luck
Hi,
affects me too after update on 18.04. After installing libblockdev-
crypto2 and system restart, I get the error:
"Error unlocking /dev/sdx1. Failed to activate device: Operation not
permitted"
I tried a lot of things:
* Start gnome-disks as root
* Open Luks and mount via cryptsetup on
It turned out that the combination of blender / pulseaudio and the log-
level of pulseaudio was the problem. When I open Blender then suspend
the machine and resume again, the above error immediately fills the
logfile with tons of data. The problem persist until blender is stopped.
So first I
I have the exact same problem here with Standard Ubuntu 16.06:
The ~/.cache/upstart/unity7.log file is filled with this crap over and
over after suspend /resume:
"AL lib: (EE) ALCplaybackAlsa_mixerProc: start failed: File descriptor
in bad state"
I am using blender and firefox simultaneously.
I just tried to give evolution 3.19 a try.
So I enabled (temporally) the gnome3-staging ppa, installed the evolutin
3.19 packages, but I still receive an error, when connecting to google
address book:
GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._e_2dclient_2derror_2dquark.Code5:

Hi,
as my solution of 239 finally did not work for me, I tried:

Hi there,
as I posted above, I have the same issue on my Thinkpad W510. I edited a resume

chmod + x

It would be an excellent feature, of working. I am using 3 three

You received this bug
Hi Bruno,
I tested this like in comment #25 in ubuntu 13.10:
But there are two problems:
fix_sso_app_name.patch:
- There is no oauth statement anymore
Restarting oneconf delivers two errors:
A. WARNING:oneconf.hosts:Error in loading other_hosts file: [Errno 2] No
such file or directory:
I temporarily could solve according to #13, but using
xbindkeysaccording to this thread:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xbindkeys . As stated above the on
screen display for audio is then not visible any more! I like this
solution more, because it does not depend on the gui you are using

After latest upgrade of oneiric, Lightdm or Xserver not working
Status in One Hundred
If I knew where the problem lies ... sorry you might be right ...
probably. This all is very confusing:
As far as I see the problem with lightdm starting correctly might be:
1. /var/run/dbus
2. wrong /etc/init/lightdm.conf
3. wrong ~/.dmrc entries
4. package lightdm-gtk-greeter not installed
Might be also interesting ...

Hi Sebastien,
[1]
cat /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
[SeatDefaults]
greeter-session=unity-greeter
[2]
sudo dpkg -l unity-greeter
ii unity-greeter0.1.1-0ubuntu1
If I remember right, unity-greeter was installed as a dempendency via
aptitude ?!
What I found weird in
/etc/environment
The TH= is weird, it should be PATH=...
You do not believe how often I read this log, but never saw this ...
You are right, my /etc/environment indeed began with TH=
I do not remember, that I ever edited that file (I am using ~/.bashrc for PATH
instead).
I really won't

Is it a different bug from the current one?
I am sure it is.
I managed to get rid of this purging lightdm AND removing /var/lib/lightdm.
Then Reinstalled lightdm.

On the way with oneiric after update from natty.
Was not able to solve the issue from since the beginning.
Lightdm does not start the xserver.
I already purged all lightdm related files - including unity-greeter and
lightdm-gtk-greeter, ~/.Xauthority,~/.ICEauthority, removed
/var/lib/lightd -

Status in One Hundred Paper Cuts:
There is more annoying to tell about this:
I also upgraded from natty to oneiric. My system with nvidia-current
(280.13) even won't login, if i use lightdm.
During the installation process, i had been asked which manager to use.
I'd chosen lightdm. That left me with an unusable system, because
For my point of view getting a working system after upgrade is more
important than choose a display manager!
As you can see in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-
settings/+bug/840462 , the debconf question - where i chose lightdm -
left me with an unusable system (infinite loop of
