Real hardware running Bionic, MSI b350m prog motherboard with R3 1300x cpu. I must use a usb ethernet due to the onboard ethernet causing PCIe issues. I thought the extended freeze I was experiencing at boot up was caused by hardware driver issues I'm debugging, since I do not even get a log blurb

Definitely affects Xenial. I thought I somehow kept hitting cancel after the passphrase entry since there is zero dialog to let the user know something is happening. I tried to generate keys five times before I came here to look for a bug, now due to previous comments I see that I have five keys
