What I have noticed is that when two screens are plugged in the graphic card,
and the desktop appears on both screen, and when I then choose to only use the
dvi-connected screen via the "display" menu in ubuntu, the vga-connected screen
goes off, and the dvi-connected screen only show the mouse

mysqld uses approximately 130Mb at startup and goes up to 806 Mb adter
10 minutes, without any server process running.

difference being the architecture (32-bit vs 64-bit), I can now confirm
that the Python scopes are working on a 32-bit install and crashing on a

nouveau (without replacing it by a Nvidia driver) from the system

More detailed study off the problem revealed its just gnome-shell ui
status .js which is very limited in gnome 3.10. (in 3.12 the ui is even
gone completely)
For ubuntu 14.04 which is using default gnome 3.10. You can just adapt
the /usr/share/gnome-shell/js/ui/status/volume.js
and the /usr/share
A kinf off dirty work around that a just added. It will not show You're
network icon but well show a menu entry network settings. In the real
base menu. Which after all is the most importatnt. I was also ennoyed
with the missing sound settings. And for both there is no descent gnome
extention to fi
Just found out it is just one off the new "improvements" into gnome 3.10
.
Now when the network is down , that network icon will show up. However
it becomes total usseles as there is no menu anymore attached to that
"improved" applet. You can not quickly check or modifie you're network
anymore tr

I can reproduce it all the time, typically while editing embedded Calc
documents inside an odt.
For instance, I update a calc sheet, then click back to the Write document :
crash.
Another example : I have 2 sheets in a page, select one other and press
backspace to delete it : crash.

When you hit F1 or click on the compilation button in TeXmaker, whatever the
kind of compilation is chosen (latex or pdflatex), it takes 1 to 4 seconds
before the compilation actually happens. Sometimes, it causes the TeXmaker
window to fade out and then fade in again.
