older version you had in precise that's trying to rebuild with dkms.
Completely purging fglrx and reinstalling it should get you the latest

fglrx will not build for your GPU. If you use the makson PPA, you must
install fglrx-legacy:
sudo apt-get purge fglrx

Kyle, I'd suggest trying the latest ALSA driver for Precise since this
is a fairly new chipset:

If you still have the 13.04 install, run the following command to collect
system info:

Note: I'm setting package to xorg so apport-collect gets video
information (and there's no reason to suspect unity-greeter
specifically).
