Sorry for the long delay, I do have Proposed updates enabled so I should
be getting the updates, but banshee keeps on silently crashing,
especially in the office where (if the bug is DAAP related) a lot of
iTunes are coming and going

True, I disabled the last.fm shuffle, restarted banshee and the
equalizer option is back . I'm now unsure as to whether or not the
equalizer is working despite the option being grayed out (when last.fm
shuffle extension is enabled) .
Still, it shouldn't be happening, but it's a work-around, thanks

Unsure as to the reason, there doesn't seem to be an option for it on
the preferences menu (or anywhere that doesn't require me to look at
code or recompile the whole thing) , but the equalizer option is
inaccessible and has been since the 2.2 update (it was working before).
I'm undecided between gnome-shell and the network-manager itself , it's
not just the dialog not showing, it's the whole vpn not connecting :)
Anyway, thanks mate ;)

All the computers at the office who are running 11.10 (a whooping 4
computers :) ) had the same issue - both with the crash and with needing
nm-applet to start vpn connections (and having a working shell
indicator.
Having the nm-applet workaround makes it less critical, but seems odd

I can't reproduce it now because I'm actively using my VPN and .. here's

Hi Sebastien :)
1) Yes, I update it some four times a day :)
2) sure, attached :)
2) Yes, it started (I think) this week, I might not have noticed
immediately because I had a couple of days where no VPN was needed (so I
didn't use the nm settings)

I can't replicate the problem manually, but banshee keeps silently
crashing (at apparently random moments) while playing songs - whatever

instance.
