I tried rebuilding gnome-settings-daemon from the ppa sources, but deleted all the debian/patches files. then restarted gnome-settings- daemon and gnome-shell, but still had the same problem with keyboard shortcuts not working I did the same thing, but no luck. Maybe we have to rebuilt other
