Since 14.04 the indicator does not show up in my panel anymore, making
it very annoying to switch keyboard layouts. Even if the appropriate box
is ticked in system settings, it is not there.
I can only change the layout using a hotkey combo now.

I would also like to inquire a status update on this. HP Elitebooks are
the staff laptops at a university and agency that I work for, and this
bug is a considerable nuisance to those users. It would be great if this

the repos and am not experiencing this issue anymore. Of course, it
would be desirable to have working 319 drivers, to get all the
performance fixes crucial to OpenGL applications etc.

The indicators provide middle click functionality. Some apply this, some
not. But the keyboard indicator even gives visual feedback (turns gray)

Since recently, this problem has been reduced, but is not gone. Resuming
goes much quicker now, but still takes ~5 seconds, as compared to 30-45s
previously. I have a brand new laptop so I still consider 5 seconds
