  package libsane 1.0.23-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: trying to
  overwrite shared '/etc/sane.d/kodakaio.conf', which is different from
  other instances of package libsane:i386

Status in “sane-backends” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Trying to install google earth.  Keep getting error:

  "New software can't be installed, because there is a problem with the
  software currently installed. Do you want to repair this problem now?"

  I am presented with two buttons: "Cancel" and "Repair". After a few
  seconds I get this:
