Public bug reported:
A fresh installation of saucy (today's daily) completed succesfully.
I then tried to install the closed-source graphics driver (from Software
Sources) and got this error.
(it probably is a version.h missing problem).
ProblemType: Package
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.10
Package:
I am affected as well with 13.10 (Daily - installed yesterday) while
trying to install fglrx-updates.
I remember the same issue happening with earlier versions of Ubuntu
(perhaps 12.04).
A workaround is to run (adjust paths accordingly)
ln -s

Sadly they closed the thread as if the issue does not occur in saucy.

I get the following error messages from the terminal window (when I run
jockey-gtk from the command line):
Traceback (most recent call last):
File /usr/bin/jockey-gtk, line 382, in on_button_toggle_clicked
'toggle', False):
File /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/jockey/ui.py, line 670, in
Adding: I get the TypeError only when I try to install the post-release
updates driver.
I also tried with different locales in case the problem is specific to
locale/translation; the problem is NOT specific to locales.
Installing the release FGLRX driver works fine.
