I confirm that installing light-themes_16.10+17.10.20170817-0ubuntu1_all
from Artful fixed the white-on-white issue (the monospace issue
described also in #1700218 still remains).

I can reproduce the issue by following these steps on my machine:
- ensure gnome-terminal is not running. Open a single gnome-terminal window.
- ssh to a router running Openwrt 12.09
- run the following commands on the router:

I was reading Brandon's (maceach-b) bug report
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1657875). Besides
the very entertaining flaming of Christopher (penalvch) by Brandon over
there, I've found out in that report that this has been fixed in the

Sorry I can't answer all the questions right now, as I'm in a bit of a
rush and can't try out all the old versions of Ubuntu right now. And the
bug doesn't manifest itself that often, so it's hard to pinpoint what

LightDM (?) blank/white screen after resume
Until there is a fix, could anyone please recommend a workaround for
this?
Every time I suspend my t450s, I estimate there is a 50% probability
that I will have this white screen problem after I wake up. Restarting
my system every time gets annoying...
Thanks a lot!
