LOL.

Yeah it's an easily overlooked bug:
If you have the radio button clicked on selecting "pages" and "1" (in the text 
box), in the print dialog box, then it affects the preview to show only those 
pages!!! Worse, Gedit "remembers" that print dialog setting to "1" "page" 
between invocations. So you overlook it and in hurry wonder what's going wrong. 

Happended to me Ubuntu 10.10. SOLVED.
