The external mic is working. The device doesn't have an internal mic.

I found a Live USB pendrive with 12.04 and 3.2 kernel, booted it up,
but there was still no sound. So I thought maybe the previous version on
this machine wasn't 12.04 but 11.10. So I booted up a 11.10 live CD and
voilà, there was sound coming out from the internal speakers. I attached
the alsa-in

I have the same laptop (Amilo La1703), and the same problem with Xubuntu
13.04 with 3.8 kernel. There is no sound from the internal speakers,
only from the headphones. Sound was working fine in Ubuntu 12.04 with
3.2 kernel. I also have an Amilo Li1705 laptop which have exactly the
same hardware exc
