I'm also having the same issue. So as you mentioned earlier to Matt and
Mikael I have filed a new report via terminal.

It's just irritating always either reboot the system or log out the
session.
I had processed big data manually in unsaved document and I was about
to paste that copied data to actual template. machine crashed. lost my
3-hours of work.
